Many of today’s manufacturing facilities include cyber-physical systems that enable machines to communicate with each other and be accessed remotely. While use of new technologies has enabled efficiencies in advanced manufacturing, it has also increased the risk of cybersecurity threats. This presentation will discuss how building cyber awareness among automation technicians and other front-line workers can help lessen the cyber vulnerabilities at a manufacturing facility. The presentation will also introduce the Cyber4RAM digital badge, a micro-credential which provides learning modules on 11 cyber competencies related to advanced manufacturing.
